How to Help Your Prospects Become Clients

prospects become clients

So you’ve caught wind of what all the cool kids on the block are talking about these days, have you? And no, I’m not talking about Snapchat…

I’m talking about Inbound Marketing.

If you haven’t heard, it’s the “way of the marketing future”– a strategic method that focuses on giving your prospects and customers what they actually want. And, giving them what they want results in what YOU want. Your prospects become clients. All without “dialing for dollars” like a telemarketer, or a salesperson jailed up in a dreary old call center.

Clients coming to you? Sounds pretty great, right?

Then why aren’t more Realtors using Inbound Marketing?

As with any new “trend”, it takes some time to warm up to, especially when you’re used to the same old marketing practices that have been staples of the real estate industry for decades. (Or, maybe the name isn’t catchy enough?) Plus, it takes some effort.

But don’t be fooled: just because something has been around for awhile, doesn’t mean it can’t improve….
And with inbound marketing, it can.

But before you change your entire marketing strategy, let’s take a minute to decide if it’s actually right for you and your business, shall we?

Here are 3 questions you need to think through when evaluating whether Inbound Marketing is right for you and your business:

1.) Should I try it?

This is a tricky question because it requires sub-questions. Answer these:

  • Do you want happy customers?
  • Do you want those customers to come to you?
  • Do you want to leave behind outdated marketing “strategies” that are actually killing your business’s growth?

If you said yes to any of those (or all 3) then the short answer is: YES. You should try Inbound Marketing. Poke around our blog to learn more about why, but you can even get started on the right foot with our Ultimate Checklist to run an Inbound Marketing campaign. Plus, it’s FREE. Sweet!

2.) Does Inbound Marketing work for everyone?

If I could find you something that works 100% of the time for everyone, then I’d be rich…

BUT, the key with Inbound Marketing is that there IS a reason why everyone’s doing it these days: because it works.

If you follow the best practices found right here on the Falcon blog, and be methodical about your marketing efforts (or get us to help!)  then I feel confident saying it will work for you!

I still recommend you read through some of the posts on our site to make the decision for yourself, and if you’re STILL not convinced, read this post on why Real Estate + Inbound Marketing IS a match made in virtual heaven.

3.) Will I get rich quick?

Unfortunately, a lot of newer marketing practices these days promise the world and fail to deliver.

So let’s clear the air here: no, you will not get rich quick.

You will, however, build a sustainable marketing system. Over time, it will bring you high-quality, targeted leads to fuel your business for years and years to come.

And to be completely honest, Inbound Marketing takes time to see a return. Inbound marketing is a long-game effort. If you create a solid strategy and remain consistent you’ll see a positive ROI in several months. That seems counter-productive, I know. But, the thing about inbound marketing is that your prospects are doing their research. They’re taking their time and getting to know you. All before you’ve even heard of them. Finally, many months down the road they’re ready to take the next step in their sales pipeline and you meet. But, the thing to remember is that they’ve ALREADY chosen you. Your inbound marketing efforts converted the prospect to a client. That’s a great ROI. And, it beats telemarketing cold calls.

While you might not be rolling in the dough overnight, Inbound Marketing is by far the most profitable (and sustainable) method to take your business to the next level. Get started today with our FREE Inbound Checklist to make sure you start off strong and don’t miss a beat!
